This week for Skills and Activities I did dividing fractions. Here's my DLO. We've also started learning about Antarctica. I am working on a killer whale fact file. When I finish my fact file I am going to make up questions I would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary.

This week we learned more about the RMS Titanic. I wrote six diary entries. I am currently making a timeline. For technology we're currently making buzz-wires. I'm nearly finished. For our Year 7/8's legacies, Jessica, Mishka, and I have been working on our plan. We're going to build a sign thingy and we're going to put it up somewhere around Grey Main. The plan is very good and I look forward to building it.

In writing today we have been reading and learning about 'What happens when you sleep'. Miss Power shared 3 links to different information for us to read. We discussed some of the key ideas and then started writing an explanation. Here are some of the sentences I wrote in my explanation: People require different amounts of sleep time. Babies need twelve to fifteen hours. Kids aged five to thirteen years old need about ten to eleven hours of sleep, while adults only need seven to eight hours of sleep.

This week we did explanations and ICT. For our explanations we had to write three paragraphs telling you how to be a good friend. First we had to think of three key ideas to put in the body of our explanation. I wrote about loyalty, respect, and sincerity. Here is my explanation. And I am in a new technology class. I go to metal class now and we are going to make a buzz wire.  For ICT we are learning how to deal with trolls on the internet, or on our blogs. We had to explain what a troll is and how to deal with a troll. I worked with Jessica and we made this thing.

This week we wrote an explanation about the water cycle. We had to work in pairs and we had to comment on each other's explanation. Here is my explanation.   We also did St Johns. Last week we learned about hypothermia and stuff but this week we learned how to do CPR, how to bandage, and how to put on a sling. It was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot.
