Week 6 - Reflection

This week we learnt how to do metric conversions.

This is my DLO on how to convert kilometres to metres, and metres to kilometres.

We also wrote more poems. This is my memory poem. We had to use descriptive language to create an image in the reader's mind. I wrote about the soccer game where I helped my team win.

ƬʜE S⚽CCER Game

I feel it, the rough texture of the soccer ball,

Landing on my foot.

Swallowing the lump in my throat,

Beads of sweat form on my forehead.

Just one single kick, and our team will either lose, or win.

I feel a rush of adrenaline,

And I close my eyes.

Taking a huge breath of the cold air,

I feel a soft and gentle breeze,

Urging me to move forward.

Running,

The wind rushes past me, and I feel like I’m flying.

I kick the ball vigorously,

Sending it flying into the goal.

Everyone gasped.

Yells came from my euphoric team mates.

A whistle is heard from our ref.

We all did a massive group hug.

We won!!!!!!!!!
