Week 7 - Reflection

This week we wrote another poem based on Julia Donaldson's Conversation Poem.

This is my conversation poem. We had to make up excuses.

Conversation Poem
Late again, Kate?
Yes.
And what is your excuse this time?
My dog died, sir.
You don’t have a dog.
We just got one yesterday, sir.
How did it die?
My cat ate it, sir.
Why did your cat eat your dog?
Because he wanted to try something different, sir.
What about yesterday?
When you missed the test?
My grandma died, sir.
That makes four grandmas this term.
How did she die?
She watched The Fault in our Stars, sir.
What did the movie do to your grandma?
It gave her cancer, sir.
Alright, I give up.
It’s time for P.E
I’m afraid I can’t join in the P.E session, sir.
Why?
I forgot to bring my running shoes, sir.
How’d you forget?
My grandma usually reminds me, sir.
And where is your grandma right now?
In a coffin, sir.
And for my group's maths activities we had to learn about the different types of triangles. This is my DLO.

For art we have to design our own dollar notes. This is my $50 note. (Work in progress) I'm drawing Morgan as the prime minister.

We also wrote some colour poems. These are my poems.
Grey🐺
Grey looks like a foggy ghost town
Grey smells like the smoke emitting from the fire
Grey sounds like bad news
Grey tastes like pollution
Grey feels lifeless and dull

Black☝
Black looks like a maths test
Black smells like ash
Black sounds like screams of horror
Black tastes like poison
Black feels like a terminal illness

White❄
White looks like the thick blanket of snow covering the grass
White sounds like hail hitting the windows
White tastes like marshmallows
White smells like cotton

White feels like the start of winter

And that's all we did this week. =)
